Ah be alright only a little bit of filler dust!!!
Least of my worries.
Todays work, get rid of the wing top mounting holes for the indicators and repair the damage to the wings.

The passengers front wing was quite badley dented and creased from the bumper being pushed into it.
Rougly reshaped the wing with a mallet and the metal finshed the dents out. Takes a while but is better than just filling it up.

Thanks.
Their standard one year only '66 wheels which look very similar to Porsche 356 wheels. They wont be staying on the car though as I have set of american Eagle polished 5 spokes for it. |

Another month has gone by and I am still repairing the panels for priming and paint.
Stripped the doors back to bare metal and found one of them to not be as agood as first thought, it had a small rust hole in the middle of the skin??? Moisture had collected behind the sound pad on the inside of the door and this had then caused corrosion totake hold and rust from the inside out. So with cold paste around the rust hole I welded it up, excellent no distortion at all after welding, removed the paste and then sanded the small weld down, NOT SO GOOD, It F'ing distored all over the place.
I was not about to spend another small fortune on a 6 month only produced door so I spent most of today skinking and beating the it back into shape and skimming both of the doors.

They both need a stopper coat and final flatting before primer but I'm pretty happy with the results in the end.
I have also stripped the decklid of paint, which I knew had various dents and the push button catch had been pushed in and dented the area above it.
Obviously this needs alot more work.
Progress will be even slower now as we are moving house in two weeks. Think we should really start packing I suppose!
