i think im gonna go for an inflatable kayak, anyone used one before? spose to be quite stable sturdy and can use in surf, still water, they got some cheapo rip offs of a good make on fleabay, just dunno to go blow up or solid. 17 ft is a bit much to lug around dont u think? was thinking of the storage also, after the one use it will inevitably get! lol

I'd go solid, if you're meaning to use it down rivers (branches = pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh).
Although an inflatable one could be quite funny!
