Webby webby website.Hey all,
Its comming close to my end of year of "training" at college, means i'll get more free time in the evening to do things that i should have started ages ago.
Ergo the DP webby, want some input from members about what they'd want from a site, what different areas they'd have and what different things (apart from the forum of course) you want to be able to do.
Find links to websites you feel would be relevant, colours and contents guys. Got some ideas, just want to build on them.
Posts below, want to discuss this at the next meet.

i'd say;
*home/about section with forum link (stating correct venue for club meets!!!!)
*membership page
*clothing page + how to order
*ummmmmmmm......... maybe a members rides page?!/gallery
*oh an annual show list/events

i agree with hayley altho in reference to members rides, it could end up gettin complicated with each of us owning at least 10cars lol.
maybe club gallery or somethin with various random pics of ppls cars etc.
90% of ppl will skip straight to the forum once they are registered and have visited a couple of times. so the main page i rekon would be something more for new people to get an idea of what the clubs about, selection of pics of ppls cars, few pics of the actual meets, from shows?

Thats fair enough Adz, but maybe because there isn't anything interactive/fun/useful on the website is why people skip straight to the forum.
I'll have a mull on that!

tech ideaTech library, how about whever a member does a mechanical task ontheir car, air or water, they take pics & post an explanation including oil capacities & torque figures, thus building a useful 'how to' library of common tasks.

What about an ebay or other webiste links page. Sometimes I see items for sale that I think are cheap but just havent got the cash or the room so dont go for them myself.
Sharing this info after you have spent time looking could be worth it! Would be cool to see someone in DP had bought a car that you posted a link about....just an idea

maybe some basic repair info on bettles, busses, golfs etc
Fault finding and that kind of thing
Some sort of swish gallery
oh yeah and if you want any stickers, t-shirt designs yaaada yaadaa i'm your man

yeah dude we got some good plans comin along for the website and the forum  was actually thinking today we should have "mechaincal tech" section.
stickers will be up in zee 'merch' part of the website once we get it off the ground.
and yeah theres going to be and awesome gallery to coincide with the website.
