My Mk1 JettaYo all,
You've probably seen my ride around last year. She's been off the road since last summer. Ain't been around for a while, but the car's coming on now, slowly. So hopefully be back soon. Thanks to Adz I should have some new panels coming soon too. Here's how she was and how she is now...
Then I stretched the rear arches to cover the rims...
Filled in the fuel filler cap...
She's still no where near ready, but I'll get some more pic's up soon and tell you the plans.

Right these are the pic's to date...
Completely stripped inside and out including the engine bay...
Stripped back the paint and stitch welded the engine bay...
Now for the plans - Originally I bought a mk2 16v for the lump, but decided not to do that conversion
because I wanted something different, (hence the 16v bits in the for sale section). So, I've got myself
a Range Rover 3.5 V8. Started stripping it for the engine, but got a way to go yet.
Going to mount it up to a Ford Capri 2.8i rear axle. Started by stripping all the old brackets off the axle.
Then made up some new ones to hold the coilovers and welded them in position...
Then re-drilled the hub end of the half shafts to hold my rims and pressed steel into the old holes.
Just got to replace the wheel bearings before I put them back into the diff...
Cuz of the way I had to mount the coilovers, I've had to raise the top mounts in the boot by 150mm, supposed to be
welding this up this weekend, so I'll keep you updated.
Can't wait to get it finished. I miss driving an old Vee Dub around.

No worries, I'll try come over tomorrow and help with the wings. Found someone to blast and paint my wheels, so I had the tyres taken off today and rubbed out any curb marks ready for next week. Gona keep um silver.
Got some welding done too on the new strut tops, I'll post some pics up tomorrow.
See ya wednesday up the Airballon if I don't catch ya tomorrow.

Update as promised. Here's the wheels before they get sripped and painted...
Tacked the new strut tops in place and made up some more templates for the back and top, I'll try and get them finished through the week. They are slightly different in the photos because the inner rear arches are different because of the fuel filler neck.
Harry, I see you bought a Squareback not long ago. Have you still got it, what ya plans for it?
I've been looking for one as a run about while I do the Jetta. Don't suppose it's for sale?
