mk1 gti + 6n2 gtiy0y0y0y0I'm Lee and I'm new here. I'm from Drybrook, work near Cheltenham and I probably know a couple of you. Well, here's my pride and joy. How I got her off Mugly, from edition 38. 
This is how she stands for the time being. 
She's not as straight as she looks in the photos though, so I'm planning on stripping her down, knocking out the dents, new colour, bar stool inspired interior, air ride (ooooh controversy), small chrome bumpers (on order) and I have some of these bad boys to sit her on: 
Just waiting on a bit of nicer weather, getting the garage cleared for her and a big fat wedge of christmas bonus from work. That and I need to learn to weld, of course. haha And here's the daily. My mk5 6n2 GTI when I bought her. 
Then I did this.

And now I have her looking respectable again.

Aye, it's not a bad little goer at all. Not stupidly fast, but I could still kill myself in it, which is the main thing. :] haha Yeah, I'm rocking the fake splits! Lensos. I wanna get the original BBS refurbed and back on. Those Lensos are dire in this weather, trying to keep clean. I'm surprised by the amount of people around the Forest that are into dubs. I can't say I've seen many of you about. |

I used to run Ronal Turbos on mine, had them imported from Germany before it became fairly easy to get them, I ran a lower ET number so they filled the arches lovely!
Was a good little car apart from cambelt tensioner breaking twice, which caused all the valves etc to bend! Not good... I fancy similar wheels (Lenso's) for my Skod for the summer, they will be wide & euro all the way baby!! There's plenty of dubs about in the FOD, you just gotta keep your eye's peeled!

I went for those lensos cos I thought they'd give me some nice tuck, but how wrong could I be? haha. Way too small at 15". Have you got any photos of your olop?? |

Yeah man, I'm liking the ronals! They were on the cards when I was looking for new wheels. Looks real nice man.
I'm currently trying to find a way to docking my ipod in one of the air vents in the dash. I saw it done on a lupo, ages ago, but I can't find the thread again. |

Trial fitted the Cookies today.
Not spot on, but with a bit of playing about, they should really suit. Gonna refurb then as well, obviously. Also, I've got my air ride from the US... 
Yeah, brilliant. The nobeyes have sent me the leaf spring set up bags... Now I've emailed and they want nothing to do with it, so any takers?? Looking for about 200 quid for the 4 bags. And here's a bonus picture of the garage that I'm hiding from clearing out...

Just been tidying up again today. Didn't have chance to do anything at the weekend, helping the o'd boy fix up his 6n polo after I kindly mashed the arse end up for him.
Got my arches off... 
Found some rotty goodness. 
Bodged number plate holes... 
Loadsa gromets and stuff?? Is that normal?? 
Also, I sold my air bags
Just gotta sort some strut bags out, and I might even get a roof rack if a certain someone would sort herself out! ;] Gonna get me some sheet steel this week as I'm on early shift and have more time to do these things. |
