May's meeting at the Air BalloonHello everyone,
Despite having Tirpitz no longer and the rainy weather, I made the effort to drive to the Air Ballon this afternoon, in the hope of meeting at least a few VW enthusiasts there.
I arrived at about 4:30 pm and no one was there!
Fortunately about 10 minutes later Andy turned in in his lovely restored Beetle.
We enjoyed a drink and a chat together, but no-one else turned up.
Was this because of the weather, other events on the same day, or a general lack of interest?
I hope that it was not the latter and that there will be a better turn-out at the next meeting, which I think is planned for Sunday 14th June (the second Sunday of the month this time for some reason).
My appologies for bringing my Escort XR3i along, but I know that a few of you like Adz and Jamie used to be into Fords and may have liked to seen it. It is good fun, but not in the same way as driving an aircooled Dub along to a meeting. How long do you think it will be before I weaken and buy another one? 
Would anyone notice if I put a VW badge on it!!

Was going to, but getting married this Sunday and Last Sunday was a write off because of arrangements.
Went to last months meet and not many turned up then either. Will hopefully be at the next one.

now this babys popped out, its not long before i start shouting, ordering people round, set up another website and forum, and generally getting on people tits! so hopefully.....should be a better turn out for june.
But any bad mouthing, moaning, or generally nasty shit goes down about any members or any organisors then the offending parties will be asked to leave the club, there will be no fee to join the "new" club...there will be no assholes in the new club!... and most importantly...first rule...you don talk about the new club..second rule...YOU DONT TALK ABOUT THE NEW CLUB! lol cuz there aint one....YET!

dont like it, dont join. gonna be a fool? dont join...head stuck so far up ya own ass u cant breath?... dont join....dont like a bit of fun and a laugh?... dont join. have a great personality, like havin fun, like or drive a dub.. THEN WATCH THIS SPACE! (no...not the one between my ears!!.. THIS FORUM!)

Me too! - even if all I've got to offer is a boring (but very capable) Passat at the moment.
The air-cooled withdrawal symptoms are already beginning to kick in!
