Easy project MK1 GTI non-sunroof mars red *£550*This is a project that need very little work to complete. All the parts are present and the shell is in exceptional condition. Paint work is faded in parts but would come up with a few t-cuts and a good polish.
Bad points
Needs rear windows and rear window putting back in
Very small area on the drivers footwell needs welding up, approx 7" x 1" been quoted £50 cash for this
1 front seat
No front bumper
Grille needs putting back on
No tax
No MOT
Dent in passenger door
Drivers door has damage around handle
Good points
126k miles
engine starts 1st time and runs exceptionally well
No rust around spats
Rear panel is virtually mint with just a very small area on the corner
Boot is immaculate with no rust
Roof has no rust is 100% straight with no dents
Tailgate is exceptional with no rust
Front panel is mint
4 original 9 spokes in excellent condition with practically new tyres
Filler and filler surround is ABSOLUTELY immaculate - no rust or bubbles at all
Area around windscreen is perfect
Nearly new battery.

To be honest mate, I stuck it up on here 1st as I'd prefer someone local to get this as non-sunroof models are rare and I'd like someone local to get a bargain.
I've now advertised it on the mk1 owners club and on my site. I've had some interest but unfortunately they are unable to get a trailor and want me to trailor it down for them - something in not too keen on doing.
I'd keep it and do it up myself but i haven't got time and another mk1 to pick up next week and poss. another mk2 for breaking.

Thanks Boss Yeah all the parts are there, just need putting back, also comes with some spares. time rather than money required here.

Mate, for a car like that, you should make time. It could be stunning.
It least keep it and then stick it all back together. Then it'll be worth at least twice as much.

Well its now gone guys. Gone all the way up to north wales (snowdonia).
I'm hopefully picking up a lhasa green mk1 GTI on Saturday. Totally standard with 69k genuine miles
