Castle Combe Race DayOk, i've booked a track day for the mk2 lot early Sept. Got a fab deal, 25 quid entry AND tracktime just for us. No jap 500bhp monsters up ya arse. Joe punter would normally pay over 40 quid for this. As you guys are all friends the offer is open to all dubpound members, aircooled or watercooled

It will be early September. The rest to be confirmed. Now i may be able to set a set of slick tyres cheap for the g40 - ex renault clio cup tyres only used once
I will keep you posted. Its just as cheap as a karting session

Hey steve, i wouldnt worry about track insurance, itll cost you about 800 quid to get track cover, and thats normally total loss only! Just take it slow and easy and learn the lines, not as much fun as driving flat out but very rewarding! just make sure everything is up to scratch on it. coombe is a killer on brakes and tyres! Im tempted to bring my golf down to this, i love castle coombe. Was the first track i ever drove on, 140 on the pit straight, dont think you'll like one of dads toys running around the track though.
The 40 would be great around it, nice and nimble. Dont go for slicks on your first time on the track, you need to learn it all first before you go pushing it.
