I have owned this Mk2 for around 6 months now, after I sold my Mk1 and had a few grand burning a hole in my pocket!

Basically it's an 87' Mk2 GTI 8v, 3 dr that has been converted to a 2.8 VR6 OBD1 Coilpack version.

When I was in the market for a MK2 VR I had a look at 3 or 4 different ones, I wanted a late as possible one, but was shocked at the shoddy workman ship on some of the conversions, and poor conditions of cars.

This ticked all the right boxes, the right colour, spec and condition.

It has:

Fresh 6 months tax
MOT till March 2010
Later 16v back lights
Full stainless system with Magnex twin round backbox - Sounds Awesome
K&N Induction kit
Single wiper conversion with fully smoothed scuttle panel
RS4 style Raceland bucket seats - Very Comfy
Fully functional and non leaking sunroof!
Jamex Coilovers
Uprated discs and pads all round, work well and no vibrations
Genuine single headlamp VW front grille with red trim
Smoked crystal headlamps
Full 5x100 conversion with widetrack
Std late BBS VR6 wheels in black and good condition
195x45-15 tyres, fronts are fairly new and backs about 1/4 worn
Pressed metal stubby German plates (imported from Germany)
Colour coded wing mirrors and bootlid hatch surround
Leather rare VW steering wheel (can't remember the name of it, but looks good)
E66 number plate which looks like EGG!!
This car was voted car of the month in June on the Mk2 Golf owners club website!

I have some receipts for the car and was converted by an Essex based company called Gantley Motorsport, and they have done a 10 out of 10 job.

I have been told the engine has covered just over 100K, just before I purchased the car, the clockset was changed due to being faulty, so the mileage it reads is 178K, I can also supply another clockset that is more accurate, if required.

I am hopefully picking up some smoked front fog lamps for the lower bumper over the next few days and I will hopefully get them fitted ASAP.

I have had brilliant fun driving this car and will be sad to see it go, but need to free some cashflow as I'm buying a house. It starts first time every time, and has never caused a problem. It was serviced just before I bought it, and all filters etc were changed.

I spent a whole day detailing it when I first got it, and have kept it very clean since, it is always garaged and only gets used at weekends. I also made sure all doors and parts line up perfectly.

It currently has the rear seats removed for lightness, but will be put back in.

All this car needs is a set of rude boy rims and you'll be laughing

Please remember that this car is 22 years old and not a show stoper, but it has never been smashed and all wings and doors etc are original.

If you are looking for a clean Alpine white Mk2, with VR grunt then this is the baby for you.

The car is located in the Forest of Dean GL16
